Aah!! Yes the select all gives me the stroke option. Thanks so much. I have to go out right now but will have a play when I get home.

I didn't look at channels - I was trying to explain that I went into "paths" which is in the same area as layers and channels ...

I would like to create borders or frames around some of my images before posting or printing. In the "edit" menu the "stroke" option is greyed out.
