Hi everyone. I'm a newbie to photoshop (& scanning for that matter).
I've searched for an answer to my question on this forum, but can't find it.
I want to scan gemstones on my computer to use on a webpage.
I scan the gem at 300 dpi ( I crop the preview image...then scan)
I then import into PS and adjust the image (contrast, colour etc)
Unfortunately, when the image is then used on my webpage, the resolution is terrible. The image on the web page is larger than the one in PS.
Probably a simple thing to do, but I can't do it!
Thanks for any help

When u save the file, try the "SAVE FOR WEB" feature.
When the "SAVE FOR WEB" window pops up make it a jpeg & set the quality on high & make it 72dpi or whatever u wish.
U can also set the actual size u want in this window. |

Um, your subject line really has nothing to do with your question. However, let's look at some code:
<img src="images/gemstone.gif" width="200" height="200">
that indicates that your image is 200px by 200px. If you're just resourcing your images to get the new one in there, than it won't alter your image's size. You'll need to either type it into the properties bar (dreamweaver) od edit the code to match the new images dimension. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |
