Hello, I am a Desktop Publishing student and specialize in Illustrator mostly.
Despite that I am curious about Photoshop and wish to learn more, I know the basics but that's it, I'd like to go into advanced stuff.
I found this picture from a band named Korn, I wish to recreate it.
I've attatched the picture.

I'd really appreciate it if one of you guys could send me somewhere, or even explain it themselves so I can progress.

Thanks for your time!

Go to youtube, and type in "photoshop displacement" effect

I think that's it. I just watched it last week, and it was pretty cool and easy to follow along.

Basically take your image, and copy + size it bigger twice. Mask those 2 bigger images.

Then use spatter brushes to add in the pieces, as well as subtract the pieces on the original image.

Pretty simple, but you need some nice splatter brushes.

Although this image looks like it has some smudging and bluring going on.

Hope that Helps!
