Running CS4, 64 bit on a windows vista machine. I have been running great on this machine for a couple of years, trouble free. For some reason, two days ago, I started getting a runtime error everytime I try and start up in 64 bit, and it shuts down. The 32 bit version continues to run ok.

I have gone so far as to uninstall Photoshop from my machine, run a registry cleaner, and re-install. No joy, same problem.

Have you thought about updating from Vista?

Also can you remember if you updated or installed anything before this began?

It seems a script called clean listener installed itself and turned itself on. I eliminated it and my problems went away.
