Photoshop has the default resolution of 72dpi. When I open an image from my DSLR, this is the resolution it gives me. Should I change this resolution to something higher (eg 300dpi)? Tried looking up photoshop help but got a bit confused! |

Photoshops display res is 72 but it's print res is 300, I'd leave it as it is unless you need to resize for some reason.
If you look in edit/preferences somewhere in there are the preset sizes, you could change them if you wanted to, but I don't see the point. Wayne |

Your camera is probably taking images at 72dpi . You will need to change to 300 dpi if you want to print them. go to image->image size, click resample, then type 300dpi and the file will resample to 300dpi without affecting your print size. _________________ Barry Flammia
