That's difficult. It depends on the background image. Since I don't know many specifics about what you're trying to do, the best advice I can offer is: carefully examine photos of streams and then experiment until you find a technique that suits your purpose. Can you provide more info? _________________ Interested in showcasing your special effects or learning some new ones from the masters? Check out PSFX! |

I would possibly create the effect with 3d Max particle system. Then use the render as needed

I was hoping it could be done in photoshop. I just basiclly want a stream with little trees beside it. it doesnt have to move it could be a still jpg. athough an animation would be nice. I just want something that looks one notch above vector so it looks a little more real |

I suppose the best way would be to just paint it in. I'm no great shakes at pure digital painting, so I can't really help you there. But filters tend to look too formulaic. Avoid using them if you want a naturalistic look. _________________ Interested in showcasing your special effects or learning some new ones from the masters? Check out PSFX! |

For me, that would be about 100 times harder to paint it by hand, than to get a plugin that looks realistic, cos unless you arre van gogh (sorry if i spelt his name wrong) noone can do water better than a computer _________________ www.jerseyhacker.co.uk
