Hi there,
I want to explode my image into many small fragments, as though it's been pulled apart. To do this I need to move one layer apart, piece by piece (unless someone can suggest an easier way?)
What I want to know is can I lasso a certain shape, then apply that selection to a place on the layer, move that piece, and then apply the same selection to another place on the layer?

Save your selection then you can use it whenever you want. Select-Save Selection...
