I have a P205-S6347 laptop. it has Intel Core 2 Duo T 5450 @ 1.66 GHz 1.67 Ghz and 2 Gb of RAM.
The RAM is in two 1 Gb cards.
My wife picked up photoshop elements 10 at Costco, which system requirements are:
1.6 Ghz of faster processor (including single core support)
windows 7
16 bit color video card
1024 x 576 display resolution
directX 9 compatible drivers
1 Gb RAM (2 Gb for HD video)
4 Gb hard drive space
DVD ROM drive.
So admittedly, when it comes to the processor, its the bottom of the requirements. But it bogs the entire system down, freezing it at points, editing that should change before our eyes will take a minute or longer to make any change to the photo
Would swapping out the RAM, going from 2 Gb to 4 Gb give me needed power to make the software run smoother? or is there any way to make the laptop run faster? I close every other program, recently defragged, everything it says you should do.
