I wrote a set of actions on a macbook air in Photoshop CS4 version 11. They basically optimize a whole series of layers for the web. There are 120 layers and it turns each one on saves it for the web, turns the layer off, turns the next layer on saves it, etc.

Here is the problem. It saves the files in the shared folder in a subfolder called batch run, and it names each layer. On the original machine, you would leave the batch run folder empty, and it would create each named layer, z02, z03, z04 etc. When I saved and then loaded the actions on the new machine a macbook pro, the new machine wants the named file to already be in the batch run folder or it gives you an error and says the file is not found.

The actions still work, but it's a little clumsy, because now you have to leave copies of all 120 files in the batch run folder and just let the mac overwrite them. It's the same version of photoshop any thought why the 2 computers treat the actions differently?

Actions seem impossible to edit, other than editing each step one at a time. And since there are 120 steps I'd like to avoid that if I can.
