I use custom templates to create custom collectible cards for personal use. The templates creates cards at 2.5w x 3.5h @ 600dpi.

My problem is when I print from this template it comes out with a weird pattern on it that doesn't show up on my computer screen. I'm trying to find out if the author of the template added a hidden watermark or if its my printer. This happens only when printing from this template. But my other renders are at 300dpi.

Provided images(first is of the print out and the 2nd is the photoshop render using the template)

It's a form of moire pattern. In this case I think it is produced by scanning the card.

But it doesn't show up on the template while on the computer screen?

Have you got a screenshot of the template? (not to be awkward!).

ok ok, before I lose it. Is the photo from a computer monitor? If so it is still a moire issue.

Ok, I figured out what is causing this pattern. It's not a moire issue from the scanning but something to do with saving from the template as .png file or jpeg.

If I print directly from the template I don't get this issue on print outs. But when I "save as" a png or jpeg and open with word/photoshop and then try to print I get this pattern.

Just have no idea how to fix.
