Hiya,
I shoot in RAW, and when I plug my camera into the pc and the window pops up, sometimes my images show as raw files, and sometimes they show as JPEGS, I don't change anything in the camera at all.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks,
Sarah x |

Don't know , but there is a JPG embedded in any RAW file.
You didn't say what program or even what OS you're using.
I can't help you with Apple.
On a PC you "should" be able to access the camera as a drive and see the RAW files in whatever format they're in. |

Windows 10, not sure what you mean on what program I'm using?
Anyway, figured it out, my camera has two cards in it, and because they are both read from one cable to the pc, the pc wasn't opening both of the cards, it was only picking one to read, hence sometimes I would get jpegs and sometimes raws |

"............. not sure what you mean on what program I'm using? "
How are you viewing the images?
What program are you using on your computer?
Windows Media Player, MS Explorer, Chrome of the JPG's?
How do you view the RAW files?
Do you use the software that came with the camera or Photoshop's ACR, or some other RAW converter?
What window "Pops up"?
What's it say?
You give no details. |

Steve, when i plugged camera into usb 2, it would only show up which ever memory card initialised first, but upon inserting it into usb 3 it would show both, so I don't have the issue anymore. p.s what is Chrome of the JPG's |

Typo.

Lol, oh I see.
Well like I said, it's sorted now, it was the ports on my pc, now that I'm using a different one they open up fine, a version of each which is what I wanted. |
