I retouch a lot of photographs to be used in marketing collateral. I am not a graphics professional but I work at a small company where I have become the default photographer and graphics person (not my main function, but I seem to have a knack for it).
Frequently I have to make very precise selections (often for background removal when the magic wand doesn't do the trick), which require me to zoom way in. This of course puts much of the image off screen.
As I drag my selection to the edge of the displayed window, the image scrolls, but it usually scrolls so quickly that I overshoot the spot where I want to end the selection, and it scrolls off screen too.
Is there a way to slow down the scrolling when I drag a selection off screen?
I'm using PS 6 on Win XP. Ancient, I know, but sufficient for my needs.
