Hi,
I have Photoshop Extended CS4 and after I rebuilt my machine, I can no longer open my .nef files from my Nikon D800. I've uninstalled Photoshop and reinstalled it. I may be confused about what the newest version of Camera Raw I can use even though I have looked over the Adobe site and thought I had it right. I'm running Windows 7. I'm getting this error, "Could not complete your request because it's not the right type of document." My camera raw version is 5.0.0.178. I went through the installation of newer versions, but I must be missing something on the install.
I can however see them in my Windows Explorer as thumbnails, I just can't open or place any of the .nef files into my photoshop.
I'm pretty stuck. I'm not sure how to fix this. It all worked before I rebuilt my machine. Granted I didn't start with a fresh drive, but I'm not sure if that would have corrupted camera raw or not. Thanks in advance for your help. I certainly appreciate it.
