PS Version: Photoshop CS6 Extended OS: windows 7 [64bit]

I'm using photoshop cs6 - 64 bit. Whenever I choose the text command, photoshop takes like 15 seconds to get that command active. This was a problem in CS5 version too. What is a way to speed things up? This happens regardless of the filesize. |

It may be due to the amount of fonts you have installed on whatever computer you are using.
I use PSCS6 Extended on a Mavericks/Apple partition and PSCS5 Extended on a Bootcamp/Windows partition on the same machine. 8gb RAM on two quad processors. My font folder slows me down due to there being at least 2,000 fonts installed on both partitions.
Computer info is always helpful to provide. |
