Hello everyone!
I've tried to fix this issue on my own but with little results. I've been working on a rough draft business card for a friend. In photoshop it appears normal to me.. however after I upload it online it has way too much contrast and the colors don't appear the same shade at all.
I've tried to "Proof colors" on this specific image and it wont even let me check "Monitor RGB", and it also wont let me save with proof setup sRGB.
I've also messed around with my video card color settings, didn't make a difference.
Here's how I see the image in photoshop (after I've tried to kill the contrast and brightness).
Here's how it looks when I save and upload it.
PS. I'm using CS4 and Windows XP.
I don't want to send the file to the company just for them to turn out different than I intended.
Thanks for your help in advance! |

Save the image as sRGB, is there still a difference?
It sounds like the old chestnut of colour management, I can't tell what location you are from to recommend some default settings, but a screen shot of your colour set-up for Photoshop would probably be helpful.
Also make sure that your system or other programs are not colour managing for you, over and above what you are telling PS. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

I think I found the issue.
The document I'm working in is CYMK 8 bit.
Could that be the cause of it looking odd when I upload it online? |

It probably is, but the point is, that it shouldn't be.
Conversion between spaces should not be an issue, although differences and clipping are universal problems that we all suffer. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
