Hello,
I'm trying to seperate colour channels and have found the channel panel. But two things allude me

1. When I select an individual colour (say Cyan) and deselect all the other colours, rather than show a Cyan channel it shows a B&W channel. The only way to get a cyan channel is to have two channels highlighted Cyan and Black

2. I can't seem to do much with the image once I've deleted the other channels. I can't use the quick selection tool to do a cutout and I can't save it as anything other than a Bitmap or a PSD. If I use an image that is already cut out, I lose the transparency.

I feel I am missing a key step or two. But don't know what?

best wishes,
Sean
