I would appreciate any advice on this question

My version of PS is CS3 standard program (not extended) for Mac, US edition.
At the moment I would like to upgrade to CS5, standard program for mac.

Just to make sure I get the right one, my PS is 13102498. Am I correct in saying I need the CS5 which is 65048598?

Any answers would be appreciated Angel

I have a bad feeling that you are unable to upgrade from CS3 to CS5.

You can update to Photoshop CC (which is their latest offering) and get a discount with a CS3 serial or higher. So you have just made the cut if you go that way.

To get CS5 you will probably have to buy the full version not an upgrade and a retail copy as adobe no longer offer it.

I am sure Adobe pre-sales support will set you on the right path if you contact them.

Thanks for your reply, but the person who has the unopened licensed copy CS5 for sale says it has 'Upgrade from an earlier version, ' written on the packet, and that it will be fine.

As I have the Photoshop CS3 I am not sure why you are saying it will not upgrade.

I can no longer upgrade from CS3 to CS6. Adobe have very weird policies and only want people to upgrade to their latest version, so are unhelpful so I wonder if anyone else agrees with what you say?

Seems you can from what I read, although as with everything ultimately it's better to double check yourself/
