I'm a newbie in forums but anxious to both contribute and be inspired and informed by everyone here. I've been an advertising and fine art photographer for over 30 years and love to share my creativity and Photoshop knowledge with others. I've created a website dedicated to providing resources for like minded fine art photographers at www.photomorphis.com.
I've been fortunate to make a living from my fine art work and hope that I can give back by participating in a forum such as this.
By way of introducing myself here is an example of my work:

Hmmm.. I'm not real code savvy so it appears that I didn't add the photo properly so that it would show up... any guidance? I'd love to know how but it's not very clear how. _________________ Advertising and fine art photographer hoping to share creative inspiration with like minded photographers in forums and on my Photomorphis website. |

Hello and welcome, Doug.
When embedding an image, you should include the direct link to the image within the img tag. So, for example, an imagine would be a .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, etc. Your link was to an HTML page, so that is why the image did not display.
Flickr does not allow hotlinking unless the image itself is linked to Flickr page for that image. So, this is how you might embed an image:
Code: | [url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/48908952@N02/4482849144/][img]http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4047/4482849144_26275cc10c.jpg[/img][/url] |
If you copy and paste that code into your post, you will see that it generates an image embed and the image itself is linked to the Flickr page for the image.
I hope that this helps.
Thanks,
