I'm a CS4 user recently upgraded to CS6, and to my horror I've found the pen tool is marred beyond repair.

The Photoshop I remember treated anchors like, well, anchors. If I dragged (ctrl+click) on the line on my path between two anchor points, the curve used to be adjustable and changes were confined to the area between the anchors. Now, not only does dragging change other curves but it also moves the anchor points.

Is there any way I can reverse this change?

Don't have CS6 so cant help much but this looks like it might give a few hint about changing the functionality back to classic mode.
