So im drawing in photoshop with a brush and all of the sudden it wants to like paint red and act like all of the sudden there is a new imaginary layer and wont paint in that are where i scribbled , its almost like its that 'masking red' color, it just randomly happened and now its happening all the time, its hindering my painting significantly could this be some weird setting i mistakenly activated?

everytime i change color it wants to color under the previous color that i was on

OK that first post stretched my understanding of the English language. Big Wink

It is hard to know exactly what going on from your description.
At this stage I will guess it's one of two things.
1. You have the mask channel visible (If you are using layer masks)
2. You have changed the painting mode of the brush to something other than normal.

If neither of these things are the cause, taking a screenshot of Photoshop with the problem present on screen can help myself and the other users here track down what the problem is.
