Just thought i would pass this on......some here probably know about it anyway but....
A few weeks ago while opening a project in cs6 i would try to put a new text layer on but when i clicked on the text tool the programe would return the message "photoshop is not responding and will now close". I tried another project and it was the same. I had noticed that when i launched it would have mini bridge at the bottom of the screen which i didn't ask it to do

The solution:

Open the file where your preferences (psp file) are stored and delete the lot.
These will be regenerated next time you launch photoshop.
It solved my problem.

Might be an idea to save the psp file as a backup just in case it all turns to custard on you

Cheers
Iain
