Okay So this is a recolored image I did of the IJN (Imperial Japanese Navy) Akagi, a Japanese WW2 aircraft carrier. I got the original from Wikipedia Commons.

I just make a new layer and set it to color mode and I use the paint brush to color it in. After done with the main colors I go back and get really zoomed in and detail it up a bit, then I play around with the dodge and burn tools along with the smart brush. That's it!

Thought procedure is the really easy but image looking plenty realistic and amazing, wondered me. Feel thankful to see your creation.
