First of all, please allow me to apologize for my ignorance. I know just enough to be in danger of giving a true pro a migraine. My apologies.
I have a Corel video Studio program which allow me to obtain a frame strip of a video clip., for the purpose of taking those individual frames into a graphics manipulation program (in this case PhotoShop) and then manipulating each frame (like applying an artistic filter, such as dry brush, watercolor - whatever) and then saving each individual frame so that I should wind up with a smooth video which appears to be animated or amended by filter applied .
My problem is that when I open an individual frame in PhotoShop and try to apply an artistic filter I get the message that I need to convert it to RGB or some other format in order to apply filters. I really hope I am not coming off as some blithering idiot here. But I just have the feeling (or maybe the empty hope) that there is some way to resolve this issue and I am simply too ignorant, and perhaps you can help me. I hope so.
Hey, look, I am quite well aware that this entire process is highly labor intensive. It’s like a 40 second video may contain 1,200 individual frames – I get that. And I fully intend to try and get someone at Adobe (PhotoShop folks) to help me to some kind of short cut to apply the same filter to a list of images, without opening each individual image and applying the filter, etc. That is what I need to do is somehow be able to command to Photoshop that it apply the same filter to a group of images, but, remember, I am ignorant, here, so that is the next hurdle.
What I really need from the kind people at Corel is to find out if there is a way in Video Studio (which I like a lot – I am now using Ultimate X6) to split a clip into individual frames and save them in , well, JPG format, for instance, or some format which will allow me to manipulate those individual frames in PhotoShop without any further conversion.
Well, there you have it, and when you get finished laughing at me, basking in my abject ignorance, please be assured that any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Hey, remember, I’m the idiot who thinks I can do several thousand frames of video without going absolutely bonkers.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks. _________________ I'm just looking for some help in the areas where my ignorance knows no bounds |
