Hi All,
I'm using photoshop elements 8 and am
having big problems with removing the color
background from some images that I downloaded
from the net. I know about removing the lock on the layer
and using the magic wand to highlight the background, then hitting
Del key. It does remove color and leaves the checkered background.
I want to achieve a transparent background which is what I get
When doing to above steps but then when i save the image to a psd
or png, it shows the background color again and i do leave the
transparent box checked. It's the same when I save it for the web option.
Does anybody have the correct procedure to get this done or does my software
Have a bug? It's a very simple logo with only two colors. Please help
Thanks

Frank

Welcome to the forum Frank.

Can you post one of the images in question, or a similar image? It helps members to come up with the correct solution.
