I get this message could not start adobe phooshop because the volume windows is using for virtual memory does not have enough free space. Could some help and tell me how to get the older version installed need to get a project done asap. Thanks in advance Dodgy

Making a permanent swap file for your system may solve the issue.
Not sure about how to do this in windows 8 but here are the directions for 7.

Go to control panel > system > click the Advanced System Settings and display the Advanced tab.
In the Performance box, click Settings. Display the Advanced tab. In the Virtual memory box, click Change.
Uncheck the option to automatically manage the paging file size. Mark the option to for custom size.
Enter an initial and maximum size. Try 8142 and 12213 to begin with.
Click Set. (This is important...don't skip this step!) Then click OK.
Re-boot your machine, and hopefully you should be good to go with Photoshop Elements.
