When I open multiple images and finish editing / close the first image, Photoshop CS6 make active the last image tab instead of the next image tab.

Is this natural behavior and is there a way to fix this?
It's frustrating and annoying. It sometimes even confuses me if there's a lot of images and / or sometimes significantly slows down my workflow because I have an older computer.

Because Photoshop opens the last image in the list of tabs, I end up editing images in reverse order, even though is awkward, inconvenient, and frustrating.
Still, though, it's more efficient and less confusing / error-prone than trying to edit images sequentially with the aforementioned behavior of Photoshop.

Edit: Contemplating this issue has moved me from helplessness to action (literally, seconds - maybe I was lazy, a nice first post). Hope this workaround is of help.

Clicking on the image one wants to edit next, then closing the previous one makes Photoshop go to the next image wanted.
Although, not a true fix because Photoshop still uses extra resources switching back to the image that is being closed, it works.
