|
|
Basically I`m trying to curve and image around another that is round, but the round image is also angled.
I can get some of the image to look correct, but there`s parts of it that I can`t get to match the rest of the image.
Cheers.
Colm.

Please post the image, so we have an idea of what we're dealing with.
I'd be happy to try to make it if you want.

All but the right arm that does`nt look right...
Edit: It`s a little better...but still sticks out..
Like the missus said to me last night, I guess I`ll just have to play with it a little more....cheers lads!
Edit Edit: One last thing, once I get the image correct, can I save and then add then warp settings to another image, I plane on doing a few images with the same background.

Try to match the lines of the rules of thirds grid to the outlines of the toilet paper roll.
Gave it a more serious shot for ya btw, cut the logo in half to make it more realistic and decided to play around with the blending modes (color dodge)

Ah, I never thought of that way, nice.
I`ll give it a try, thanks.

The cylinder distort have always been tricky in PS. While Sherize filter with Normal mode does a great job, with Horizontal or Vertical modes it's really worthless.
For things like that I have a special premade PSD with 3D cylinder layer.
Just drop this layer to my current image, place anything I want distorted on the Diffuse texture, scale and rotate the cylinder any way I want.
This makes perfect distortion.
As for blending I always use sandwich method: duplicate background layer, place it over the distortred layer in Clipping group, and find the best blend mode that gives you the best view. This way you have far more options and can get smooth and natural results.
