I'm going to try my hand at building websites using photo shop, in using Joomla! for years and wants a bit of a change. I've done quite a bit of research on pretty much no wonder I need to do. However, I'm just a little confused about what size canvas is best to start off with. I know that there are some preset styles that follow monitor size. Which sizes do most people users? Also, let's say I go for a size of 1280x1024 for my initial canvas size, I would like to create a background with let's say an internal white area for text and content, what's the minimum you would recommend I make the content area? |

I would tend to design for 1900x1080 at least, but bear in mind the design will probably be fluid across resolutions. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

I only watched about 4mins but as far as I can tell, all sizes will be smaller than you think because of browser furniture, so take that into account when designing. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
