Recently some images I have opened and saved in Photoshop are locked upon re-pening. Message from Photoshop says "...........(file name/path)..... is locked. Unlock by going to 'Windows Explorer' and using Properties to unlock". Well I can't find where to unlock in Win Explorer Properties box. Help, I have tried everything and a publication deadline looming over me. Thanks, Terry

You don't say what format your images are, is the read only box ticked? when you say locked do you mean you can't view the image or are the layers locked? Wayne

Locate the image file outside of Photoshop, right click the file and choose Properties.

Thanks, but I located the Properties box, but there is nothing to unlock there. Read only; hidden; archive are not checked, but I try it all ways and the image is stilled locked. I use a PC and Photoshop 6.0 on Windows XP.

Just a thought, did you make them in PS 6.0 as well? I have heard of some people having problems opening the pic from 6 in PS 7 or vice versa. Wayne
