hi everyone,

I've been working on this photo for a while now, but one part is bugging me in particular. The original image is shown on the left and as you can see I've removed a lot of the hair that is covering the face. The trouble i am having now is getting the skin tone to be the same in the area where i have removed the hair ( shown circles on the image on the right ) I've been using the clone stamp tool and the patch tool and I'm having no luck. Is there something im doing wrong, or is there something I'm not aware of that will do the job i want that im not aware of? (photoshop novice)

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is starting to drive me insane!

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried "clone source"?
Here's a complete guide to cloning:http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2010/03/30/the-ultimate-guide-to-cloning-in-photoshop/

Good luck :)

Dodge and burn, or clone set to lighten.

I believe in keeping things as simple as possible so looking at this image I Lassoed the right side of the image her cheek etc. copied it to a new layer then Edit/Transform/Flip Horizontal move it into position then Erase etc. Then Copy the right eye and do the same a little Brush work and it's done...

Bravo. I agree on simplicity.
