A number of years ago, I launched a retro based magazine in the UK called Retro Fusion. I managed to get it released in to the Gamestation chain of stores and it was quite successful.

There were 3 issues in total (0,1 and 2). My 3rd child was born 2006 and life became far too busy to carry it on.

My son is now 5 which gives me a lot more spare time.

I want to go back to Retro Fusion and finish what I started i.e. make a retro magazine that covers primarily gaming but also covers everything else like TV, movies, toys, sweets, adverts etc and make it successful.

I have a flat plan for issue 3 - it is 68 pages in length and I would very much like to get it printed and out there. There is also the online publishing model to consider.

I am looking for a specialist or 2 in Photoshop to help with the graphics and layout in the magazine. We came up with a great design template in issue 2 that I would like to continue to follow (the original person we used and long gone) - we have these in PDF at the moment, the original assets being lost as a laptop was stolon.

I very much would like to get Issue 3 out there but would be asking for volunteers to help - and hopefully for the next issue it could be paid work.

If you are interested in joining me on this journey, then do please get in touch via PM.

Thanks - Chris.

I can't PM yet because I'm a new user and all that jazz. I'm currently a student and I'm working on a minor in graphic design. I don't know if you want to take a chance considering I might not be "the best choice" however I have designed a website (sadly it's no longer active or I would show you) and I'm good with photoshop (for the most part). For what you're asking, which is general design?, I would be able to help with that no problem. So if you still need someone and don't mind working with a 19 year old college student, I'm your guy! You can email me at zach.pike@yahoo.com.

Also, if interested, here's my portfolio, but all of the pictures on there are "tutorialished" as my friend thehermit said on a separate forum. In other words they're beginner or mediocre. Nevertheless you might like what you see... http://electriclty.weebly.com/
