|

I am working with some Large PSD's on a computer that only has 8gb of memory. When I open 2 or more PSD files, this can completely fill up.
However, when I close a PSD, the same amount of RAM is still being taken up. I have to completely close Photoshop to get it to clear out of RAM, then only open what I need, and this slows me down.
Is there a way to purge memory somehow after a file is closed? |

Edit > Purge > All
See if that works. |

This doesn't have any effect. I can open a PSD, close it while leaving photoshop open, and its still taking up 2 gb of RAM. In fact, in the Edit menu, Purge All is greyed out. |
