I have converted a RAW file to JPEG and then edited the file. When I save the photograph and then closed it, the thumbnail image shows a symbol of a ripped photograph instead the saved edited image. Would someone kindly tell me what this means.
Thank you for your time and assistance.

Welcome to the forum whulan.
Are you using Elements? It appears that your files have become disparate, try using File>Reconnect to place them again.
On a side note, the point of shooting in RAW and not JPEG is open your RAW in Photoshop and then save in JPEG for web use if needed. One is a lossless format that XML can be appended to and one is a lossy format that throws away info, the opposite of RAW. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

Thank you very much for the information. I really apprieciate it.
It was late when I wrote the message and what I had meant to say was that I had opened a file in RAW, edited it and then converted to JPEG...but I am new to Photography and I welcome all the advice I can get. Again thank you
very much for responding to my question. |
