Hi
I want to "fix" the image in the link to fit into a nice panorama frame AND edit the image so it's nice, sharp, fresh and 'oh lala'..
What I am trying to achieve is removing the gray haze I see in a few places, and also the blurs I see..
But I must say.. my PS skills are limited.. So I'm hoping someone outthere might give me a hand, either by...very slowly.. explaining some of the things I can do... Or download the image and give it a try...(and if you record a video of what you're doing.. I'm buying icecream!!)
The original image.. as jpg is this:
https://skydrive.live.com/#cid=4FE24F0DAAB56B76&id=4FE24F0DAAB56B76%21235
And the result of what I've been doing to create the image I'm going for(trying to fit it to a 60x30cm canvas...):
https://skydrive.live.com/#cid=4FE24F0DAAB56B76&id=4FE24F0DAAB56B76%21236
Both files are hosted on my Skydrive account, so no foul host sites, share sites or spam sites..
If this is a nono on this site... please forgive my ignorance! _________________ Kindest,

This is the best I could do. Hopefully others here will have a go and you can pick out the one you like the most.

Keep in mind that the file on your skydrive (and the one above) was 72ppi and therefor not suitable for print. You want 200-300ppi for high quality prints. |

Hi Auieos
That actually looks pretty good!! Much appreciated..
Can you tell me a little about what you did... You've managed to remove some of the annoying hazy parts... I'd really like to know how!! _________________ Kindest,

Thanks Symbiot,
I just brought the levels in from either side to match the histogram and then used 3rd party filters. Topaz DeNoise and Alien Skin Exposure (Kodak ultra color)
So I cheated a bit as far as technique is concerned.
Also good work Seaco. |

Hi Lee..
good work... that's looks fantastic.
Please.. tell me tell me... what did you do
Seaco.. thanks for the information... I can definetely use that... actually I usually use curves->auto (I know I know.... but it works ..)
I am not much good at using the different filters... will definetely have to learn to use them properly..! _________________ Kindest,

Hi Martin
It was Auieos who gave you the info above not me!
I selected then copied the person to a new layer and used curves, sharpen, contrast the used Topaz De-noise to reduce the grain I cloned some leaves to reduce the blur on the left selected the dark leaves at the bottom of the tree and darkened them a little more the used Topaz De-noise over the whole picture finally I added some Vibrance...
Hope this helps _________________ Lee |
