i am not understanding how to remove reflection of car from water

Welcome to the forum. It looks to me like you will have to composite an new foreground in, anything else would look less than convincing. Find a suitable tarmac stock photo and get to work with transforms and masks.

I agree with thehermit. It seems it would be easier to find another photo of water that would suit your photo. Perhaps you have a photo of just the water surface without the car? However, I don't think it would be a good idea to take out the reflection of the car from the water since it would look more Photoshopped and unrealistic.

I slapped this together rather quickly just to show what iloveprint is talking about. Removing the reflection kind of makes the car look really badly dubbed in or like its not actually sitting on the ground. I added a bit of shadow at the wheels to try to help the effect but it still clashes pretty hard. ;]

I decided to give it a quick go as well. Shadows on flat plane surfaces are much trickier. Perspective needs to be considered. I agree with Rayo86. some car shadows are necessary-but in small doses.

I agree, water reflects but if there is no reflection, it's going to look like it has been photoshopped, unless that's the effect you want.
Darklite, your second photo looks like desert sand and not water :-)
The issue here is; if the water is not going to have a reflection of the car on it then it'll have to have the reflection of the sky which will make the viewer wonder if the car is flying in the sky or what?
