Hi Everyone. Sorry, I'm a noobie to forums. I have PS CS4 and am using it on a MacBook with Lion. No problems with the upgrade added at all until I noticed something. Using the scaling tool, I note that the cursor is offset from the place I put it. So I cannot get the start and end points directly UNDER the crosshairs. Same with the selection tool. I have to select ABOVE the place I want to because CS4 decided this is a better way?
Help. How can I get CS$ to work the way I am used to.
Or, why fix something that was never broken in the first place. I like my eyes. They are more accurate.

Is the offset problem happening on everything, or only on particular tools? What happens if you reset the tool? (click on the little down pointing arrow next to the tool, then on the down pointing arrow in the dropdown box).
You could try resetting your photoshop preferences, but be aware that you will lose a few use defined things when you do this (not a problem if you've never defined anything - go control+alt+shift / command+option+shift as you load photoshop).
It's a strange problem - if you can replicate it outside Photoshop then your solution is likely to be found outside Photoshop as well. Hope you sort it - let us know if you find a solution. |
