Many moons ago I found a really useful little application for PS 7 which helped clean up an image which was taken through a window. Sadly when my old computer went AWOL I lost the application. I have searched the Interweb thingy but the application seems no longer to be in existence. So here is the question. Does anyone have any pointers on how to improve. clean, whatever images taken through a window? (Other than going outside and taking the pictures, the birds do not stay if ones goes outside.) Windows 7 and PS 7 but also have Elements 9

Welcome to the forum Berghill. I would suggest you post an example of what you are dealing with, so members can get a better idea of what you are facing.

I will try to add a picture.
The image was taken through glass and as you may be able to see, it has the effect of causing the colours to be a little 'faded'. |

hi,
this is where the picture really clarifies quite bit what you were wanting...
I thought your were talking about reflections andhaziness, etc.... and those can be bear to take out....
this here just a dullness....
myself,
add a level adjusment layer and adjust each channel... that really bring out the colors..
then add above levels a brightness and contrast adjustment layer... and ajust to suite.... it improves it a little bit more...
just for info,
a little plugin i use sometimes, is something call redynamix (16 bucks) , only works for 32 bit ps, ... really love the program.. although primarilydesigned for single image hdr creation .... i use it quite a bit on just cleaning up the image alittle.. |
