OK, first one of the better excuses for being an airhead. I purchased CS2 just after coming out of an induced coma. (At least that's the best I recall) My laptops motherboard is fried and I am loading all my old software onto the new machine. IF I was rich and the economy wasn't so sucky, I would upgrade all my old Adobe stuff, but I can't afford it right now. Comes the problem.

I go to load CS2 and discover that although of course I have my reg numebr and the discs for PS dating back to version 5 (including CS) I can't find the discs for CS2. My husbands says he believes I bought it and down;oaded it from Adobe after I got out of the hospital. OK, I;ll call Adobe. No kidding here. 6 HOURS LATER multiple disconnects, cut off calls etc. I finally talk with a fellow who says, "That's an old version and doesn't work with Windows 7" I say...well, I've been using it for several years with Windows 7, if you could just let me download it again I'll be on my way. He says, "Yes, I see you are a registered owner but since that is an old program we don't have it anymore. Gee sorry, that will be a billion dollars (or what might as well be to me in my current financial state) to upgrade" I point out that the upgrades and bug fixes back to version 5 are still on the Adobe website. He doesn't believe me so I walk him to the URL. After much fumbling with capitalizing Windows in the URL he says, "Oh yes, I see, but that is not the complete program." ...and I bite my tongue in half trying not to scream since I wouldn't have spent all that time on the telephone if I could have downloaded the full program from their site at the URL I had to show him the location. I am a loyal legal user. I finally got two of Uncle Al's books that I have been wanting for forever for my birthday and now I can't use CS2 because I can't find a donwloadable copy of a program I bought and paid for and have the registration code for. HELP!!! Any suggestions??? I KNOW I need to get 5, I just can't afford it yet and I am NOT a pirate.

Hey cougartoo, hope you feel better soon. Call centers are worse for blood pressure than hospitals, didn't they tell you that?

You're not an airhead by the way. You know what I did recently? I bought a National Parks two year pass for my car, then when I went to put it on the windscreen I saw that the old one still had a year to go... Now THAT's airhead.

jerryb4417, well done!
