Hi all,
I need to make a flayer. I have a background image + inserted some descriptive text on it. Saved .tif . But when printing, the text looses in quality.
Question : How do I make text to stay in vectorial form. It is possible ? If not, what another software can do that. Thank You in advance.

P.S: Sorry for my terrible english.

Welcome to the forum. This area is not my forte really, but I'll have a stab :)

Photoshop is not really designed to set type for print, although it should be able to handle it to some degree. First and foremost Photoshop should preserve the font outlines as long as you don't flatten the file, that includes making it a JPEG or a flattened TIFF. Here is where my knowledge gets a little hazy, it should also respect the font outlines if you export/save to PDF, although PDF's created in Photoshop tend to have a tendency to be a little weighty.

Whatever the outcome, if you are going to a printer to have them done, ask for a final proof before the print run begins.

Hold on tight! I think I can hear knowledgeable people coming!

hi,
what program are you using to print the flyer?

if your going to use your ps, then print from the psd file...

now if print in another program... i would take a look at saving it in ps psd format or if the printing program can handle it in, ai format ..

now sometimes using a vector program maybe the answer...

lot of people will use illustrator but inkscape (freeware) is also good program..
