Is there any way that you can create different coloured guides within the same document - i.e. if you want to lay out your basic columns for your grid and want those one colour and then to create other guides for individual elements on the page in a different colour so that you can clearly see which are which? I can't see any way to do this, but it would be so useful if you could! |

Guides can only be a single color.
They can be any color you choose, but can't be more than one color at a time.
To change them go to Edit > Preferences > Guides, grids & Slices.

No, but you can draw lines on blank layers and use them in place of the guides.
You won't be able to use snap to guides, but if you turn on Smart Guides you'll get a similar effect to help you place objects. |
