I've been using PSE9 for 6 months with no probs. Excellent product.

I shoot in RAW/DNG and, after editing, save in JPEG. Today, it has stopped offering JPEG as a file format option under File> < Save as> The only options I get are:

Photoshop PSD
Photo Project Format (PSE)
PhotoshopPDF
Photoshop RAW
PNG
TIFF

How do I get the JPEG option back?

Thanks.

See if this works...

Go to menu 'Image > Mode' and click on 8/bits channel.

Then try saving.

Thanks for your response,Auieos. Since I posted, have been in contact with Adobe, who offered the same solution. It works! Thanks.

What I'd really like to know, and maybe you can help, is why PSE9, which had been working perfectly, presumably in 8 bits/ channel, has switched to 16 bit/ channel? How can I switch all the images back to 8 bit/ channel rather than having to treat each one separately?

Thanks again.
