So as I begin my descent into the blackhole of time consumption that is that is Photoshop. A pesky little hindrance threatens to impede my learning.

Guys every time I start a new project a see a little 01 and what appears to be an envelope in the corner.

When this appears I am not free to work and use all the tools like normal.

I have enclose a photo of this my learning curve’s hobgoblin.

Please help!

What is it ? What did I push to make it appear in the first place? How do I make it go away ? and lastly. What is the proper photoshop usage of said tool.

Thanks guys.[/img]

hi,
ok... that will occur when click on the slice tool and create a slice.... now you can slice a image a number of times..

now in your case since grey... i am assuming that at one point you can click on slice tool and maybe did a slice but you deleted it... and your were left with that grey little box.... you can go to your view>show and uncheck slice ... and that little grey box will go away... just remember if your working with slice to turn that back on...

final note.. there a ton of tutorials on how to use and where you use it...
