First of all - Hi Everybody

This is my first post. Thank you for taking a look.

I recently hired some PS experts to help me create a template - and both are saying what I want - cannot be done!

So - it all starts with a lovely template design for a web based brochure.

As you know with web design - vertical length in a post can be extensive.

The template has a Header, Content, and other sections.

In each section, I want to be able to change how much goes into it - anotherwords... one time the Content section might have 6 paragraphs of regular text, another time the Content section might have 3.

For the Header - There will be a Fancy Font - which I can change depending on the title of the post. In some cases it may be too long to fit in the space provided and it would be great if the font 'automatically got smaller' to fit in the space. However, in the content section - I want to freeze the font size, allow unlimited vertical stretching and reduction.

At the same time - I need the rest of the template elements locked down - so they are not 'messed up' by the casual user. (aka me)

Are any of these requests doable?

Should I use Photoshop for the design and then transfer the templates to another application?

Thanks for your help or suggestions.

Brilliant Pebbles

hi,
i am just primarily posting to let you know people are looking at your post and i am looking at what replies you get...

i am a novice but believe that you''ll need to use another program in conjuction with photoshop... and go back forth between themm
i believe adobe illustrator (ai) will do what you want... plus it made to work in conunction with photoshop ... so most of your basic desgin stuff might be with photoshop but other parts be done with AI.. or use a web desgin type program... your "experts" should have said why.. my own thoughts and experiments is that the box is a fix size(once it made) and there no setting to allow flexable auto resize... and the same with text font size....

butlike i said just a novice... i could be wrong... and that why i like tosee other replies... from people more knowledgeable than i. maybe they know a setting or trick...

You might find some sucess using variables and data sets, but it's a bit too much to explain it here.
