can't get text and edits to appear "in real time" They only appear once I click back onto the text or type of edit I created. brand new 16gb asus computer so speed is not issue (everything up to date as well) not sure what the lag in response is to the system or how to stop it from doing that. It works fine on my old laptop but the brand new one has this annoying delay for everything I try to create (text, shapes, pattern overlay) that doesn't automatically appear as it should (for example i will type in the text and it doesn't appear on the canvas until I go back and clcik on the T button on the toolbar....so editing is a nightmare)
any thoughts before adobe calls me back and charges me $39? I had my credit card all ready and they disconnected my call =-(

Welcome to the forum. I would update video card drivers and maybe first check that Open GL is checked unchecked according to current setting in PS General Preferences.

hi,
how are the other programs are they alittle sluggish .. maybe the problem isn't just ps but something else...

try disabling all the the startups and then reboot and see if any improvments...

on the open gl.... did you check the graphic card setting and see what it is?
i know when i got my new system the opengl by default was off... even though ps it was on...
