How do I make an image gradient to transprency....for example....
Layer 1 is the Transperent Background
Layer 2 is a sunflower
I want the center of the sunflower to remain the way it is and as you slowly go to the edge of the sunflower it gradients to transperent background.....so after completeing this or being able to do this then if I were to add another layer (for example sake, red square that is much larger than the sunflower) then the center of the sunflower will be at 100% Opacity and the slowly to the edge of the sunflower will be gradient to 0% Opacity where the you will be able to see the red square completely while in contrast in the center of the sunflower you won't be able to see the red square at all.....I went through the help section of Photoshop and couldn't figure it out. Attached is an images of what I am trying to do, its from the sample folder in Photoshop, the first image is just of the layer, and the second image is the the sunflower layer over another layer. the first image shows gradient to white, but in fact it is gradient to transperency where if you look at hte second image the so of the water drops come through the sunflower image at the edge of the sundflower but nothing of hte bottom layer comes through the center of the sunflower.
