I have a suggestion to folks....
It seems we have sparked a debate that is separate to the original posters intentions, perhaps I could start another thread that relates to the matter of 'splash screens/landing pages'. Leaving this thread clear to those who wish to comment on the original post.
I am not blaming anyone, and if I am it's myself. New thread for:
'Are landing pages ever a good idea? Discuss!'
I realise both correlate, but it was obviously not the intention of the OP, to have it go this way!
