First - I'm not proficient at PS. Please assist.
I want to make a simple circle with a border. Everything looks VERY straight forward, but I'm missing something.
In the instructions I'm reading and following, it states:
1 Create a layer.
2 Select the eliptical tool from the toolbox.
3 Drag a circle out by holding shift.
4 Press x to make the foreground white.
5 Alt-Backspace to fill.
6 Press d to make the foreground black.
7 Edit\Stroke and set the border to 1 pt and Center.
For some reason, the changes are applied to the ENTIRE layer - not the circle. So the entire box turns white with a black border around it (as a result, the circle is no longer visible).
This has to be one of the simplest tasks to do in PS, but something's amiss. Any CONSTRUCTIVE feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance. |
