Been a trend for awhile on tumblr of using the instgram effect in photoshop, but I was looking to go for a cleaner look of this effect like they did in Vogue.

http://blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=hasami777&logNo=110070285&redirect=Dlog&widgetTypeCall=true

I've been toying with a layer with the background image thats filled with a pale yellow color, then setting the blending mode to either multiply or color but its not really matching the crisper tones in the pictures above. Can anyone direct me on what I may be missing?

Cheers

J

Excuse my ignorance, but for the pictures in the link you provided are just sharp images of a model walking in a town/city.

Look who's posting in old threads now!

Seriously tho, 'kodacolor' and 'kodachrome' are two words I recently learnt people use to refer to the old style of photos.

Here is a page with some actions that apparently emulate a few of the old styles. I haven't tried them.
http://homepage.mac.com/WebObjects/FileSharing.woa/wa/default?sitefn=TKSite.3.xml&user=pbize1&xmlfn=TKDocument.15.xml

It all seems to be related to film type emulation
