For some reason it seems Photoshop [I'm on CS5.5, using a mac running OS 10.6.7] automatically tags all 1-bit b&w .bmp file 'color space' tags as RGB even when the file started out as grayscale and this is causing an output problem for one of our vendors, though they can't tell us what to do differently to change this.
Does anyone know how to change a .bmp's color space profile within photoshop so that the tag reads 'Gray' instead? You can see this when you 'get info' on the file and expand 'more info' - it lists 'color space' in there.
If it's not possible to change it using photoshop, do you know of any utility that can convert color space info to 'gray'?
Thanks for your help! |
