|
|
Hello guys, im very newbie to PS so have patience.
here's a link of what i mean http://yfrog.com/0b10539101j
Ive opened a transparent layer 800x600 and place 2 images next to each other but when i tried to saved it as jpeg, saved all background (my images are about 400x315).
Is there a way to fix that by resizing the layer to fit to my images or something else to do.
Ah and sorry for my crappy English |

hi,
first welcome aboard.... and don't be sorry about being a newbie... we all started there and all of us are still learning.. smiling...
now.. there are two common ways to go about this.....
after you have adjusted the objects to what you want... (those 2 images)
then either
1. you can use your marquee tool and select the are you want to keep and go to image>crop.....!!!! that will do it and it the most common and esiest meathos in situations like yours..
2. or you can go to image>canvas and change canvas size that clipp off the excess but you may need experiment with the values a little before you get it right |

hi,
ok.. if the images are just going to viewed I stay in pixals..... I don't deal with anything that need to be scaled orvery rarely do i have a project i need inches or
generall you choose cm or inches or such,,, if your going to do someprinting or you have a drawing projects where inches or cm are important to make sure lines are put right.. etc.... for example if your drawing parking lot to scale... then youprobably want to use cm or inches
where as something really small scale ... mm ... and then maybe have your ruler shown and activate a grid.. |
